Dependent on the role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
1. Clinical management and patient care: The Head Dental Nurse must oversee the dental nursing team, ensuring that all clinical protocols and procedures are followed properly, and also ensure that patients are receiving high-quality dental care.
2. Training and development: The Head Dental Nurse is responsible for training new dental nurses, providing support and guidance to the team and for implementing continuing professional development activities.
3. Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all patient treatments, monitoring the dental nurse team's progress, and for creating reports.
4. Stock ordering: Dental Nurses are responsible for the ordering of dental materials and equipment on a weekly basis.
5. Health and safety: Ensuring health and safety practices are followed and also ensuring that the practice is clean, well-organised, and appropriately stocked at all times.
6. Communication: Building strong relationships with staff, patients, and third-party organisations such as suppliers and insurance companies.
Ensuring the highest standards of compliance in accordance with CQC regulations.
